Here below the invitation email to early career researchers to join the SWOT Early Career (SWOT-EC) community.

Dear SWOT Early Careers,
We’re excited to welcome you to the SWOT Early Career (SWOT-EC) community! Our goal is to create a friendly and collaborative space where early careers (ECs) in the SWOT Science Team can connect, ask questions, share ideas, and support each other in working with SWOT data.
To help with this, we’ve set up a Slack workspace that we hope will become a first stop for discussion, networking, and collaboration among ECs.
A few notes about the Slack community:
- This initiative was started by oceanography ECs, but we’re happy to extend it to the hydrology side and others as well if there’s interest.
- We’re using the free version of Slack, which only keeps chat history for 3 months. Any important resources will be stored on the SWOT community GitHub.
- This is an open science initiative, so please make sure to follow the community code of conduct
We’d love to see this community grow, so please feel free to share the Slack invitation link with other ECs who may be interested. Once you join, it would be great to share a quick intro in the #general channel (your position, working groups you’re part of, and the type of SWOT data you work with).
